Plenary Session: AI: Setting the Stage for Rapid Development and Adoption

Daniel B. Prieto is the Founder and Managing Partner at Range Strategic Advisors, LLC, which provides strategy, growth, and transactional advisory services to executive leaders at the intersection of technology and national security. Previously, Dan served as Head of Cybersecurity Strategy & Solutions for Google Cloud Public Sector, as Director for Cybersecurity Policy in the White House on the staff of the National Security Council, and as Chief Technology Officer in the Office of the Department of Defense CIO. As a former banker, corporate strategist, and consulting executive, Dan has also helped lead nearly $200B in M&A transactions and held P&L responsibility for a 325+ person $125MM IT services organization. He has held fellowship and expert appointments at Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia universities, and the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds board or advisory board roles with a number of emerging technology ventures in the areas of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and supply chain security. Dan received an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.

Erin Gallagher is the Senior VP of Growth at Accrete.  As Accrete continues its success in the Government market, Erin will be responsible for creating business strategies, identifying and penetrating new markets, and building the partnerships and alliances that will assist in generating revenue. Her experience and past success round out a strong senior executive team. 

Erin has over 15 years of experience working within and supporting the U.S. government.  Throughout her career, she has focused on bringing the best of innovative technology to government end-users as quickly as possible to ensure critical mission success.  In business, Erin has been successful in both expanding the portfolio of businesses and building capabilities from nascent to full service offerings.

Erin has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Syracuse University and a PhD in Environmental Science and Oceanography from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Erin lives in Arlington, VA, with her husband, their two sons, and two giant dogs. She is still active in the rowing community as a referee for USRowing and WorldRowing and regularly fosters puppies for Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. 

Stewart Baker, Former Assistant Secretary for Policy at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under President of George W. Bush.

Stewart A. Baker practices law at Steptoe & Johnson in Washington, D.C. His law practice covers matters such as homeland security, cybersecurity, and data protection. He is the author of Skating on Stilts: Why We Aren’t Stopping Tomorrow’s Terrorism, and he hosts the weekly Cyberlaw Podcast.   From 2005 to 2009, Baker was the first assistant secretary for policy at the Department of Homeland Security. During 2004 and 2005, Baker served as general counsel of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Commission investigating intelligence failures prior to the Iraq war. From 1992 to 1994, he was general counsel of the National Security Agency (NSA), where he led NSA and interagency efforts to reform commercial encryption and computer security law and policy. In 1977 and 1978, Baker was a law clerk to the Honorable John Paul Stevens, U.S. Supreme Court. He has been awarded one patent.   Baker holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Brown University and a juris doctor degree of law from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.
